Inquiry Submission By Nico888
We just arrived in Phnom Penh with the whole family (my wife and I, and our 3 daughters, aged 9,7 and 4). The day after tomorrow we go to Battambang for 3 days and then Siem reap for 4 days, until January 2nd . After that, we are a bit lost for our itinerary for the next 14 days… We have indeed to be in Luang Prabang on January 16th. We do hesitate among the following 3 options:
* Going to South Cambodia (Kep/Kampot), and then 4000 islands in South Laos. But it seems complicated/ambitious given the amount of transport. There is one plane from Siem Reap to SihanoukVille, but for the rest bus seems the best option, but seems very long.
* Skipping South Cambodia, and going directly to South Laos (there is a direct flight from Siem Reap to Pakse). We could then spend more time in Laos, in order to visit Vientianne and Vang vieng
* any other option ? Thailand is also on the table… but it seems complicated
Sorry if this is not clear, but any advice would be more than welcome! Our goal is to find the right balance between sufficient comfort for our kids, but also some adventure.
