Yep, just a taste.

So, we have up to 11 nights. It could be more, but unfortunately, or not, we have more unfinished business in Vietnam.

So, we fly into Siem Reap early-ish one morning.

And as luck would have it, we have a date with a certain KL Destination Expert and her Mum, on the day we arrive.

Good luck for us, but perhaps not for them….

The initial thinking, through minuscule research at that stage, was around 5 nights in SR, 3 in Battambang, and then 3 in Phnom Penh.

Now, after a touch more than minuscule research, along with copious amounts of doubt, as well as a small amount of laziness, we’re thinking of a new plan.

About the only ‘thing’ we really want to do is enter Vietnam by boat from PP.

The rest is up in the air.

So, the current plan?

Fly into SR, and then see what happens.

Could be two nights; could be ten nights.

We’ll leave when we think we need to move on.

We’ll then head to PP, either directly, or stopping off along the way, and then cross the border into Vietnam at Chau Doc.

So, I don’t really have a question; it’s more just like someone thinking out aloud.

Anyway, a little about us. Or maybe a little about me.

I don’t mind a temple here or there. I can’t do day after day of them, though.

Beaches are not why we travel.

Sitting by a pool is akin to visiting a dentist. (In case you’re unsure, I don’t like visiting dentists)

I like sitting on the street watching the world go by. Ideally with a coffee or a beer.

I like to experience the culture and the people of the region.

And I have no desire to eat anything that I can eat at home.

So, if anyone would like to tell me our current plan is a great idea, I’d be more than happy to hear that.

If anyone has the urge to tell me it’s dumb, well, I will reluctantly listen to that and then go and sulk in the corner for a while.

So there you go, thoughts of my brain in print.
