Inquiry Submission By DKtoAD

Dear fellow travelors

I’ve had a look through trip reports and suggested itineraries. Still I would like feedback on our itinerary, please:

3 travellers: 9 year old daughter, husband and me. Staying at Grand Elysee La Residence.

Sunrise during our stay around 6.03, sunset sround 18.16.

Day 1: Arrive 9 am after night flight and transfer in BKK. Pickup by hotel – relax? (Pending on, if we can get our room)

2 pm pickup, buy tickets, see Angkor Wat + sunset – maybe Pre Rup?

Day 2: 4.20 am pickup – sunrise Angkor Wat (Or somewhere else?)

Ta Prohm (maybe add Banteay Kdei?)

Back to hotel to rest

2 pm: Angkor Thom, Bayan, Terrace of Elephants, Preah Khan.

Day 3: 8 am Zipline gold experience

Sunset Tonle Sap?

Day 4 (Monday): 7 am car pick up – Banteay Srei, Kulen Mountain, Butterfly garden.

Day 5: 8.30 flight to Phuket – what time should we leave for the airport? (Hoping I may have time for another sunrise?)

Could swap day 2 and 3…

Questions:

Is day 2 too “heavy”?

Any “must see” I missed? – If I want to add Neak Pean, what day should I do it?

If the north reflection pond is closed – any suggestions for a better place for sunrise?

Tonle sap for sunset: how do we best do this? Not interested in the floating villages, but might have to pass through to get a good view?

Planning to see Phare circus in the evening + maybe the shadow puppet show, but plan to book, while there – would this be ok, or do I risk it being sold out?

TIA
