I hope this brief report will benefit people who like me, plan the trip last min and got help from this forum!

Dates: 7 Feb ~3.30pm (flight arrival) – 10 Feb ~11am (flight departure)

7 Feb:

Tuk Tuk driver picked us (party of 2) from Airport and direct to ticket office to buy a 3-day ticket at 4.40pm.

Then to watch Sunset at Pre Rup – the trees were tall; and I felt sunset will not be “good”.

And moved to another spot – Sras Srang – abt 1km away.

8 Feb

Sunrise at Angkor Wat (left hotel at 4.15am!)

Followed by Beanteay Srei

And the Grand Circuit

Caught a brief sunset at one of the river point (might be souht date of angkor thom).

9 Feb

Small Circuit started with Ta Prohm and other sites along the small circuits; and Angkor Wat.

Sunset at Bakheng Mountain – well too cloudy unfortunately.

10 Feb

Decided to squeeze one more sun rise at Angkor Wat (4.15 am again!) before going to the airport.

Well – the first one on 8 Feb was “better” – more colors.

The one on 10 Feb was already “bright” at 5am while 8 Feb was pitch dark.

Nonetheless it was still worth the time.

Remember your inset repellent – I got 2 bites (I think they were sand flies) where I had a missed the repellent near by wrists.

In summary, there is Angkor Wat, and the small circuit and the grand circuit.

In my view, the small circuit and the grand circuit will need about one day each.

I added Beanteay Srei to the Grand Circuit and did not feel rushed at all.

Beng Mealea and Koh Ker are further away. There is additional fees required for Koh Ker; not sure about Beng Mealea.

Lastly, I used a Tuk Tuk driver that was posted by another trip advisor. His name is Kat (+855 10 682 710). Communication was easy via WhatsApp, and his help made my trip planning super easy.
