We will be travelling this summer and I’m trying to schedule either a full 2.5 or 3.5 days in Seam Reap. Since it will be a monsoon season, my main concern is to allow time to “recover” in case we are rained in in the hotel. We would hire a driver and a guide for all days (except Im toying with an idea of a Tuk Tuk for at least one day)

day 1 – We will be arriving from HK (I could find only 1 non-stop flight, landing 4:45pm – is this correct??). Nothing planned, except dinner

day 2 – Anhkor Thom (the regular path with Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants, etc)

Angkor Wat

day 3 – Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean. Is it a full day trip (i read numerous reviews and it appears that one could add Beng Mealea). Is it so???

day 4 – is it possible to do the modified Grand circuit in a 1/2 day? I’d like to visit the Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Promh, and Pre Rup

day 5 – this is 1/2 day allocated for a town visit, then depart to the airport at about 1pm.

So if the weather cooperates I could do the above in 2.5 days (and this is better for the rest of Vietnam itinerary), but if it rains badly, then 3.5 days would allow to recover.

What would you do??? Pls help, I’m in a planning limbo – advise/recommendation is needed and welcome!
