Inquiry Submission By Travelophilia
What a horrendous experience in Siem Reap. We flew from BKK to Siem Reap for 2 days to see Angkor and were flying back to BKK.
At checkin counter the airline staff asked us for not only onward flight from BKK but also $600 cash per person. Mind you we came from BKK so we know the on entry visa does not require to show bank statements or hard cash. When I argued she said if we want to go I will have to get the cash otherwise can?t board. On repeated attempts to convince she said I can show print out of the bank statement. Showing on mobile app would not do.
Had to go out to an ATM, get the statement in order to get the boarding pass.
Someone needs to enlighten me for the reason for what seemed like an unreasonable request.
Has anyone else experienced this?
