We just got back from an amazing trip to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor Wat. We were there in mid September.. and I just wanted answer questions I had prior to our trip. Don’t worry about the VISA, it literally took five minutes and you don’t need a photo anymore. as you enter the airport from the plane, go to the counter on the right. Don’t bother changing your money to local currency, everyone, bars, restaurants, tuk tuk drivers and even the night markets use and prefer US dollars. If you are worried about coming in monsoon season, don’t be, we had 1 evening and one early morning of light rain, the rest of our stay was perfect. Try to get to the temples you most want to see as they open up.. before the tour buses arrive.. We had Ta Prahm all to our selves…magical! even mid morning, there weren’t that many crowds at the temples. You don’t have to see every temple, you will get burned out…We hired a tuk tuk driver prior to our trip and we got to go out of the city and see temples in the countryside..mix it up
