Hi All! My husband and I will be in Siem Reap in April (yeah, apparently we’re crazy going in this heat) and I am just trying to plan out how we will see the temples. I don’t see us spending a lot of time at the temples but who knows. We want to be back at our hotel by 10:00am to have breakfast every morning (it ends at 10:30) and not be sightseeing in the heat. We’re staying at Jaya River house which is only 5km from Ankor.

Day 1:

7am: Ankor Thom South Gate

7:20: Ankor Thom East Gate

7:35: Bayon

8:30: Terrace of Elephants (Willing to eliminate if time does not permit)

9:15: Preh Khan

10:00 Return to Hotel

Day 2:

7:20: Arrive at Ta Prohm

8:30: Ta Som

9:15: Banteay Srei

10:00 Arrive at Hotel

Day 3:

Ankor for Sunrise and stay and explore

Is it better to explore Ankor in the afternoon on Day 1 or 2 and then just watch the sunrise on Day 3? The reason I want to have breakfast after seeing temples is 1. 6:30 is too early to eat for us 2. I want to be at these temples before others arrive.

Thanks for your advice in advance!
