Just wanted to share my experience. I had taken the bus 5 years ago from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh, just because it was recommended by my local friends due to the punctuality and the safe driving of the drivers. So, again I did the Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh route and I am impressed by their punctuality. The guy at the ticket counter told me to be there at 5.45am for my 6am bus and they were serious! By 5.50am, we were all ushered onto the bus, seated and by 6am the bus drove away. (By the way, they were so kind let me park my bicycle and kept it in their office). It took us 5 hours to get to Ho Chin Minh. It cost me USD10 one way and there is free Wifi, one stop for a quick lunch at the boarder (this was less than 30 mintues). Early morning bus is always great without traffic. Coming back to Phnom Penh I took the 3pm bus and that took us 7 hours with traffic (getting out of Ho Chi Minh took more than an hour). Most importantly the bus driver, he drove with caution. I saw a crazy bus overtook us in a dangerous way and I am so glad I am not on that bus! The roads are tricky especially as it passes through villagers. We had 2 stops and one was for dinner at the boarder and another a quick toilet stop. In Ho Chi Minh the office is on District 1 on 239, Pham Ngu Lao few shops after Burger King and in Phnom Penh they are near Olympic Market on 313, Sihanouk Blvd. They are a bit away from the backpackers area but you can get here via tuk tuk easily or(20 minutes walk from riverside). Always bring with you some snacks as at the stop area they only sell rice and noodles and stalls outside selling fruits,
