Long flight with air china food was ok not the best but edible, chicken porridge yuk for me. Stop over in Beijing yummy food at the airport used my dragon pass. Very quick with the visa on a arrival hardly any queue at 11.30pm. Used the grab app to get a tuk Tuk to town for $3.50 gave him $5 from the airport my driver came to find me as I was faffing. I took brilliant jet lag tablets all natural helped so much! Let my son sleep in till 10/11 we both had a good sleep.

Bit humid today walked for 5/10 minutes decided not to do the Royal Palace etc my son said its not worth it for the price he thought it was free lol I dragged him to my other part of the day and partially Let him off as the holiday is for both of us.

We were gently asked by the tuk Tuk driver if we wanted to go to s21 and the killing fields, we did haha. We negotiated a price and he was lovely, better English than me and friendly and patient. He was with us all day from 12-5 and let us know what markets were closing when we attempted to go there last. Stupidly forgot to go to Central Market first to get something to eat, so had tourist priced food at the killing fields. Both tours were horrendous but eye opening and we met with Bou Meng today which was humbling. It rained for 10 minutes midday and not again, funny to see all the tuk tuks transform into their scuba gear for the rain drivers included.

Grabbed food from the Russian Market on the way home, yummy beef noodles for $1.50. Sadly went to stone cold creamery we live in London and don’t have it, teenager saw it on the way and they had an offer two tubs of ice cream for $3.50 pricey but good deal still based on usual costs.

Went to the fake hot tub which is cold (no point asking why it was pitch black up there) at our lovely little hotel so cheap for 2 nights, room is small but we’re here for two nights it’s walking distance to the Royal Palace with a great rooftop view and big shower, it’s clean and central not complaining.

Flying to siem Reap tommorrow morning our driver from today is collecting us. Hopefully dropping some stuff to charity tommorrow too enroute. The glimpse of Cambodia is beautiful, amazing mix of traditional and modern everywhere, just people watching (glancing) from a tuk Tuk enroute is amazing. Will definitely come back when I can afford to. Going to shower repack and the teenager is hungry again so getting food then bed lol
